MR Studio is included in the “Unsupported” exhibition at Chase Public Cincinnati, Ohio.
"Unsupported" is a showcase of work by regional faculty members that attempts to approximate an image of youthful Midwestern Architecture. The show features select emerging practices from the Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University, the University of Kentucky College of Design, and University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. “Unsupported” is intended to give voice to younger faculty who negotiate the complexities of working in a gig economy, with limited patronage and teaching opportunities, and the perils of a sometime nomadic practice. The condition of being unsupported is a constraint but it is also an opportunity to define what it means for timely, contemporary work.
Featured practices include Ausgang (Chas Wiederhold), Lauren Whitehurst, Renee Martin, SUBSTUDIO Architecture (Hannah Dewhirst & Ingrid Schmidt), suburban diversions (Sean Cottengim), Team B (John Stoughton, Anna Kerr, David Corns, & Quinn Kummer), Indefinite Kindred (Brian Richter), Informal Office (Jordan Hines & Erin Ruhl), Regina Summers, A Studio (Sandhya Kochar), Miracles Architecture (Viola Ago), mr studio (Emily Mohr & Jonathan Rieke), office ca (Galo Canizares & Stephanie Sang Delgado)
